Avril Ramona Lavigne was born September 27, 1984, is a designer of Canadian singer-songwriter, fashion, actress and philanthropist.
Avril Ramona Lavigne was born in Belleville, Ontario. His father, Jean-Claude Lavigne, called her "April", after the French word for April. At the age of two years, she began singing church songs with her mother, Judith, Rosanne "Judy" (nee Loshaw). Judy recognized his talent two year old daughter after hearing singing "Jesus Loves Me" in church. Lavigne has an older brother, Matthew, and a younger sister, Michelle, both of which teased when she sings. "My brother used to hit the wall, because I used to sing myself to sleep, and he thought it was really embarrassing."
When Lavigne was five years old, the family moved to Napanee, Ontario, a city with a population of about 5000. Although he struggled with attention in school, sometimes expelled from class for misbehavior, his parents were supportive of her singing. His father bought him a microphone, a battery, a keyboard, several guitars, and the basement converted into a studio. When Lavigne was 14, her parents have karaoke sessions. Lavigne has also performed at the fairgrounds, singing songs of Garth Brooks, The Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain. He also began writing his own songs. His first song is called "I can not stop thinking about you," a favorite girl, which he described as "cheesy cute."
In 1999, Lavigne won a radio contest to perform with other Canadian singer Shania Twain at the Corel Centre (now Scotiabank Place) in Ottawa, before an audience of 20,000 people. Twain and Lavigne song "What made you say that," said Lavigne Twain and would be "a famous singer." During a performance with the Community Theatre of Lennox, Lavigne was spotted by local folk singer Stephen Medd. He invited him to contribute to voice his song "Touch the Sky" for his album Quinte Spirit 1999. Later, she sang on "Temple of Life" and "Two Rivers" for his next album, my window for you in 2000. In December 1999, Lavigne discovered by her first professional manager, Cliff Fabri, while singing country covers at the Chapters bookstore in Kingston, Ontario. Fabri sent VHS tapes of shows Lavigne home to several industry forecasts, and Lavigne was visited by several leaders.
Lavigne would go on to sell over 30 million copies of her albums worldwide, becoming one of the artists releasing best-selling albums in the United States for more than 10.25 million copies certified by the RIAA. In 2009, Lavigne called Billboard # 10 pop artist, "The Best of the 2000s" feel, and he was listed on 28 best overall award decade album sales, chart success and the theory of cultural relativity in the U.S.
Mark Jowett, co-founder of Nettwerk Management Company of Canada, has received a copy karaoke Lavigne has recorded in his parents basement, and arranged for Lavigne, Peter Zizzo works in New York in the summer of 2000, where he wrote the song "Why?".
