Jyothika was born to Chander Sadanah, a film producer, and Seema Sadanah, October 18, 1978 in Mumbai, India. She was born in a Punjabi family. Actress Nagma, her half-sister. She completed her studies at the Academy of the learner, in Mumbai. Later, she specialized in psychology at Mithibai College in Mumbai. It also has a sister Roshini (Radhika was born) and a brother Suraj, who works as assistant director to Priyadarshan.
She married actor Surya Sivakumar, whose real name is Saravanan, September 11, 2006, who acted in several films. The couple has a daughter, Diya, who was born in August of 10.2007 and a son, Dev, born June 7, 2010.
