Lara Dutta














Lara Dutta Bhupathi was born April 16, 1978 is an Indian actress, Goodwill Ambassador of UNFPA and the former Miss Universe.

Lara was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a father and Punjabi mother Anglo-Indian. Her father is Wing Commander LK Dutta (retired) and her mother is Jennifer Dutta. It also has two older sisters, one of whom served in the Air Force of India and a younger sister called. The famous composer and DJ Nitin Sawhney is the cousin of Lara. The family moved to Bangalore Dutta in 1981, where he finished high school in San Francisco Xavier Girls High School and Frank Anthony Public School. Lara graduated in economics with specialization in communications from the University of Mumbai. She was crowned Miss Universe in 2000 which led to his appointment as Goodwill Ambassador of UNFPA in 2001.

Lara dated New York Yankees star Derek Jeter while living in New York. There was discovered in a baseball game at Yankee Stadium and the new was conducted by ESPN.

In September 2010 he became engaged to tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi of India. They were married February 16, 2011 civil ceremony in Bandra, and later was followed by a Christian ceremony February 20, 2011, at Sunset Point in Goa.
