Genelia D'Souza was born August 5, 1987 is an Indian actress, model and host. It 'appeared in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam language films.

Personal life

Born in Bombay in a Mangalorean Catholic family, D'Souza was raised a Roman Catholic in suburban Bandra in Mumbai. His mother, Jeannette D'Souza was previously general manager of a multinational Pharma (MNC), who left his post in 2004 to help Genelia's career. His father Neil D'Souza is an officer of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). It also has a younger brother, Nigel D'Souza, who works with the Bombay Stock Exchange. According to D'Souza, the name of "Genelia" means "weird" or "unique" and is a mixture of Jeanette and Neil, his mother and father's name. It is also often called informal Geenu, his nickname. D'Souza studied at Apostolic Caramel High School in Bandra and later joined the University of San Andres in Bandra to pursue a Bachelor of Management Studies. He completed his studies during the filming of his first film, Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003 and thought it would work MNC.

She loved sports and studies at university and was a national level athlete, sprinter, and a football player at the national level. D'Souza had his first modeling job at age 15, the result of being seen as a bridesmaid for a wedding. She was elected to the Parker Pen commercial with Amitabh Bachchan, two days before his graduation and was forced to shoot the next day. Initially, she refused, because of its examination the next day, but the director convinced D'Souza to shoot the commercial.
